I'm a skier, but I had a body built for the bunny slope. When burly friends invited me on a big backcountry trip, I almost said no—afraid I'd slow them down. Annika met me where I was at—with my age, with my injuries—and built a workout plan just for me, with a day-by-day breakdown to get me ready. Her patience, attention, kindness, and expertise were priceless. On the ski trip, I kept up with the gnarly shredders! And, as a bonus, this year, I've needed to buy a belt to hold up my ski pants!

I love working with Annika. She pushes me to lift more, do exercises I wouldn’t usually do, and has taught me new exercises. Annika feels like a friend which makes working out way more fun. She is warm, personable, and laid back, and also knowledgable and very committed to helping her clients reach their strength and workout goals. She is well-liked and respected by others in the gym and always learning more herself.

While I’ve always found joy in being active, whether with running, cycling, or group HIIT classes, I’ve never known how to approach strength training. After meeting with Annika to discuss my long-term goals in all things fitness, she created a workout plan that was perfectly crafted to fit me while promoting the balance between life and fitness that I had hoped for. Not only am I feeling stronger because of a well-rounded program, I also feel encouraged and hopeful thanks to Annika’s constant positive feedback when I begin to question progress or outcome.
